Our 1850's all brick building borders Frontenac Creek in the heart of Trumansburg Village. The original owner and perhaps builder, Richard Wycoff, owned and operated a Black Smith Shop around 1850. Richard's neighbor, George Wolverton owned and operated the A&P, which was a one story wooden structure built on steel beams over Frontenac Creek. In 1871 George Wolverton purchased the building to expand his A&P Grocery Store. In 1935 the wooden building collasped and created the worst flood in the history of Tompkins County, destroying many business and building in Trumansburg.
